Tammy Reno received a defense verdict on December 10, 2015, after a jury trial in Hennepin County District Court. Plaintiff claimed he sustained serious injury to his shoulder, neck and back when the Defendant opened her car door as he was standing outside of it. Plaintiff received a significant amount of treatment including chiropractic care, physical therapy, and injections, ultimately undergoing surgery on his shoulder. At trial, he sought significant medical expenses, lost wages, loss of future earning capacity, and pain and disability. A Hennepin County jury found that Defendant was not negligent, and that Plaintiff did not sustain a permanent injury or disfigurement, or sustain a 60 day disability. The jury did not award any damages.
