Pat Biren has been defending civil claims for more than 15 years. His demeanor and litigation skills have earned his clients’ trust and the respect from opposing parties and their counsel. Pat was raised on a farm in southwestern Minnesota, and he applies the practical knowledge and work ethic he gained from that experience to his practice.
Pat’s clients include a wide variety of corporations, individuals, and insurance companies. He focuses his practice on general liability, professional liability, personal injury, and products. He also represents clients in connection with a wide area of insurance disputes. His insurance coverage experience includes allocation, trigger, occurrence, defense and indemnity obligations, and additional insured endorsements.
Pat is licensed to practice in Minnesota state and federal courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 8th Circuit. In addition to his extensive state and federal court trial practice, he has represented parties in more than 300 arbitrations. He also has been recognized as a Rising Star by SuperLawyers, 2011, 2013, and 2014 editions and as a North Star Lawyer for pro bono service by the Minnesota State Bar Association in 2014, 2015, and 2016. Pat has been appointed to serve as a court referee for the Dakota County Conciliation Court and as an arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association.
