An established attorney with considerable experience in automobile insurance law and other civil litigation cases, Tammy Reno is known for her skilled and tenacious representation style.
In addition to her focus on automobile insurance law, including liability, no-fault, coverage disputes, underinsured and uninsured motorist claims, liquor liability and casualty law, Tammy is skilled in the areas of products liability, subrogation and homeowners’ insurance. Tammy is highly respected for her expertise regarding no-fault claims, and widely recognized throughout Minnesota as one of the state’s preeminent attorneys in the handling of arbitration and appeals of no-fault cases.
Tammy is also actively involved in the defense bar and frequently lectures on topics related to motor vehicle accidents for the Minnesota Continuing Legal Education and the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association. In 2014, she participated in the Minnesota State Senate Fraud Working group as the only member representing the defense bar, and in that capacity worked to assist a bipartisan legislative group to address no-fault fraud issues. She also gave testimony before an Administrative Law Judge in opposition to the Board of Chiropractic Examiner’s proposed rule change allowing insureds to bring witnesses into independent medical examinations. In July 2015, Tammy was appointed as the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association’s representative of the Minnesota No-Fault Taskforce that was created by the legislature after a recommendation from the legislators who chaired the Senate Fraud Working Group. In addition, Tammy authors a chapter each year for the Minnesota Motor Vehicle Accident Deskbook devoted to defending no-fault claims.
A three-time honoree of Minnesota Law & Politics Rising Star award, Tammy has been licensed to practice law in Minnesota since 2003, Wisconsin since 2014, and was admitted to practice in federal court in 2009. Tammy co-chaired the Minnesota Defense Lawyers Association’s Motor Vehicle Accident Committee from 2009 to 2014 and still remains active in the organization. Stich Angell named Tammy partner in January 2014.
