Jessica Richardson has been skillfully defending individuals, corporations, and insurers in personal injury lawsuits since 2002. As a partner at Stich Angell, Jessica consistently focuses on achieving the best possible outcome for her clients, whether through negotiating a settlement with opposing counsel or presenting the case to a jury.
Jessica’s experience includes defending negligence, wrongful death, intentional tort, and punitive damages claims. She understands that for many individuals, being sued is a new and stressful experience, at times presenting risk of significant personal financial exposure. For this reason, she prides herself on maintaining clear and consistent communication with clients throughout the life of a lawsuit, helping them rest easy knowing their defense is in capable hands.
In addition to artfully negotiating hundreds of settlements tailored to her clients’ specific needs, Jessica has defended insurers in over 600 no-fault arbitrations, amassing experience and knowledge beyond that of basic no-fault law to include issues such as staged accidents and provider fraud. Equally as comfortable in front of a jury, Jessica has successfully tried cases in venues throughout Minnesota. She’s not afraid of tackling complex issues at trial involving both liability and damages, and is adept at organizing, synthesizing, and presenting evidence to a jury in a straightforward and digestible manner. In 2014, she successfully defended a complex multi-million dollar brain injury case at trial involving a plaintiff with a history of complicated and sensitive mental health issues and expert testimony across five disciplines.
Voted a Rising Star by her peers annually since 2006, Jessica’s reputation for professionalism and tenacity is well known in the legal community.
